I would like to preface these pictures with the following:
Pictures often tell a story. This is the story of a family. A Spanish/American family that chose to spend their Saturday searching the great unknown. And that unknown was Shakespear Regional Park. A regional park that has pukeko birds, sheep, cows, peacocks, pristine beaches and much much more. But don’t be fooled by the smiley faces and beautiful landscape, because behind those smiles and behind those unbelievably breathtaking views are the voices of my children. My CRANKY children. And it went a little something like this:
“IT’S HOT!
AND BUGGY!
HOW FAR DO WE HAVE TO WALK?
THIS IS BORING!
I’M HUNGRY!
YES, MAMA, IT IS BEAUTIFUL FOR THE 100TH TIME.
CAN WE GO NOW?
YEAH, ANOTHER PUKEKO, BIG DEAL.
I’M HOT!”
And even though you see a happy family....take it all with a grain of salt, because it was a very annoying and exhausting adventure.
